Chevy has lifted the stop-sale order on the Blazer EV after addressing significant software issues that were reported by owners and reviewers. The issues included blank infotainment screens and error messages while charging. With a software update, Chevy believes it has fixed these problems and is now ready to resume sales of the Blazer EV.

To make up for the delay and the negative publicity surrounding the Blazer EV, Chevy has decided to slash the prices of the vehicle. The LT AWD version will now retail for $50,195, down from $56,715, while the RS AWD will sell for $54,595, down from $60,215. The lowest-priced version, the Blazer LT FWD, will start at "under $50,000." Additionally, the Blazer EV will qualify for the full $7,500 federal EV tax credit, further reducing the cost for potential buyers.
The software update released by Chevy aims to fix the reported issues with the Blazer EV's infotainment screens and charging errors. The automaker plans on implementing these fixes in its other electric vehicles as well. Chevy hopes that these updates will alleviate concerns and improve the overall performance and reliability of their EV lineup.

Despite the price cuts and software updates, the Blazer EV still faces an uphill battle to rebuild its reputation. The vehicle's numerous defects and the negative PR surrounding it have created doubts among potential buyers. However, Chevy remains optimistic that the new prices and enhancements will help attract customers who are looking for deals and a smooth transition to electric vehicles.
