Microsoft has announced that it will end support for Windows 10 21H2 in June when the Enterprise and Education editions reach the end of service. This means that systems running Windows 10 21H2 will no longer receive monthly quality updates or patches for security vulnerabilities. To avoid exposing their systems to potential attacks, customers are advised to update to the latest version of Windows 10 or upgrade to Windows 11 as soon as possible.

On June 11, 2024, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates for Windows 10 21H2. After this date, customers who contact Microsoft Support will be directed to update their device to the latest version of Windows 10 or upgrade to Windows 11 to remain supported. The Windows 10 21H2 editions that will reach their end of servicing include Windows 10 Enterprise, Windows 10 Enterprise multi-session, Windows 10 Education, and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise.

Windows 10 22H2, also known as the Windows 10 2022 Update, has reached broad deployment and is now rolling out to all users through Windows Update. Eligible devices running Windows 10 20H2 or later can receive this update, unless compatibility issues prevent it. Microsoft will enforce the installation of the Windows 10 2022 Update on consumer and non-managed business devices to keep them supported and receiving monthly updates. Windows 11 23H2, the Windows 11 2023 Update, has also been force-installed on eligible devices nearing their end-of-servicing date.

If users encounter any issues or errors while updating their Windows devices, they can refer to a Windows support document or use a guided walk-through provided by Microsoft to troubleshoot the problems.
