Arrest and Charges
Former Syracuse guard Brendan Paul was arrested on Monday at the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport. He was charged with possession of suspected cocaine and possession of suspected marijuana candy. According to the arrest affidavit, officers found cocaine and edibles in Paul's travel bags. He was released on a $2,500 bond and has a hearing set for April 24.
Connection to Sean "Diddy" Combs
Although Paul's arrest coincided with federal agents raiding rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs' properties in Los Angeles and Miami as part of an alleged sex trafficking probe, the arrest itself was not related to the investigation. However, Paul's name has come up in connection with Combs' sex trafficking allegations, as he has been accused of acquiring and distributing drugs and guns for Combs.
College Basketball Career
Brendan Paul joined the Syracuse men's basketball team as a walk-on in 2018. He played in 16 games over two seasons before transferring to Division-II Fairmont State. At Fairmont State, he played in 35 games across two seasons for the Fighting Falcons.
